Tenor Brian Cheney Offers Up Online Concert Dedicated to Verdi & Puccini

Tenor Brian Cheney has announced his fourth weekly concert on StageIt, which will center on the music by Verdi and Puccini.

The performance, which kicks off on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 7 p.m. EDT, will feature arias from the two famed composers. Among the selections he will perform are “La donna è mobile” from “Rigoletto,” “Celeste Aida,” “Recondita Armonia” from “Tosca,” “Ah si, ben mio” from “Il Trovatore,” “Ch’ella mi creda” from “La Fanciullla del West,” and “Nessun Dorma” from “Turandot.”

Cheney has performed with such organizations as the National Philharmonic, the Southern Illinois Symphony, Opera Orlando, Opera Delaware, the American Symphony Orchestra, and the New Mexico Philharmonic, among others.

This is the fourth concert that Cheney has performed since the quarantine period. He recently put on a concert dedicated to musical theatre followed by another focused on English Art Song.
