Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli has announced the first online streaming opera platform in Italy, “San Carlo Digital Opera House.”

The new streaing platform will be created with the support of Regione Campania and dell’Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, and TIM.

The new platform will have production, and distribution services that will showcase live and on-demand performances and will be produced in 4k and distributed in full HD. The new platform will be able to be accessed on the web and through a smart TV, computer, smartphone, and tablet.

The new platform will also give Italian audiences a new way to experience opera and a way to expand the company’s base.
