Teatro Regio to Release ‘Renata Tebaldi, Voce d’angelo’

The Teatro Regio di Parma has announced the latest edition of “I miti dell’Opera” with soprano Renata Tebaldi as the protagonist of the new book.

Edited by the Teatro Regio di Parma, “Renata Tebaldi, Voce d’angelo” tells the story of the life of Tebaldi, one of the greatest voices of the 20th century. The book recounts her youth, her studies at the Conservatorio di Parma, her friendship with Carlo Bergonzi and with Maria Callas, with whom she shared the stage.

The new book, written by Cristina Bersanelli and illustrated by Patrizia Barbieri, is set to be released on Dec. 11 at the Teatro Regio Bookshop and on the e-store teatroregioparma.it.

“I miti dell’Opera” series has already seen the release of “Giuseppe Verdi. Il Cigno di Busseto,” “Maria Callas. La Divina,” “Gaetano Donizetti. Un musicista coi baffi,” “Giacomo Puccini. Il poeta del lago,” and  “Arturo Toscanini e la bacchetta magica.”

Upcoming editions will include books about Gioachino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Carlo Bergonzi, and Luciano Pavarotti.
