
Teatro La Fenice Names New Superintendent
By Francisco SalazarThe Teatro La Fenice has named Nicola Colabianchi its new superintendent.
He will succeed Fortunato Ortombina, who was named the head of the Teatro alla Scala.
In a statement, Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli said, “The appointment of Maestro Colabianchi rewards the professionalism and passion of a great music expert with a high-level curriculum and the fact that his name was proposed to me unanimously testifies to the shared appreciation towards the maestro. To him, my best wishes for a good job”.
Colabianchi is currently the superintendent of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, which he has led since 2019, and is also a professor at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia di Roma.
