The Premio Visconti for Best Set Design for Opera has been awarded to Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas for the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s productions of “Tosca” and Turandot” at the Caracalla Festival 2024.

The award ceremony will be held on Sept. 21 at the VII edizione di Ischia Film & Art Festival Luchino Visconti.

The productions were created to celebrate the anniversary of Puccini’s death and were directed by Francesco Micheli.

The productions were a huge success during the festival with 45,000 audience members attending. The “Tosca” production was in particular a huge success for having surpassed the company’s summer production of “La Traviata” which held the record for ticket sales in the history of the festival.
