Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s Caracalla Festival Announces 2024 Season

The Caracalla Festival has announced its 2024 season.

The season will celebrate Puccini and will open with Puccini’s “Tosca” in a new production by Francesco Micheli. Antonino Fogliani conducts a cast that includes  Carmen Giannattasio and Sonya Yoncheva in the title role, Saimir Pirgu, Vittorio Grigolo, and Arsen Soghomonyan as Cavaradossi. Claudio Sgura and Roberto Frontali complement the cast as Scarpia.

Performance Dates: July 5-August 9, 2024

Francesco Micheli directs Puccini’s “Turandot” with Donato Renzetti conducting. Angela Meade and Lise Lindstrom sing the title role while Luciano Ganci, Brian Jagde, and Arsen Soghomonyan sing Calaf. The cast is rounded out by Maria Grazia Schiavo and Juliana Grigoryan.

Performance Dates: July 16-August 10, 2024

The operatic programming is completed by concerts from “Fabbrica”, lo Young Artist Program del Teatro, and the Scuola di Canto Corale.
