Arte is streaming a recording of Puccini’s “Tosca” from the Arena di Verona.

The recording stars Sonya Yoncheva as Floria Tosca and Vittorio Gridolo as Cavaradossi. Roman Burdenko stars as the Barone Scarpia with Carlo Bosi as Spoleta and Giulio Mastrototaro as Il sagrestano.

Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducts the productions by Hugo de Ana while Tiziano Mancini directs for the screen.

The broadcast will be available from August 15 to Nov. 12 and is a production of Unitel Classica.

This is the latest recording from the 2023 season of the Arena di Verona. The company, alongside Rai, has recorded a new production of “Aida,” and “Il Barbiere di Sivilgia.” It also recorded a “Tosca” with Aleksandra Kurzak, Roberto Alagna and Luca Salsi.
