The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma continues its digital season on March 17, 2021.

The concert, which will star the orchestra dell’Opera di Roma, will be presented on Radio 3 and will see Kevin Rhodes make his debut with the Opera di Roma.

Rhodes will perform the well-known piece Notre Damme de Paris by Maurice Jarre which was inspired by Victor Hugo‘s book.

The work originally made its premiere in Paris in 1965 at the Opéra Garnier.

Jarre is a well-known composer who won three Oscars for the music of “Lawrence of Arabia” (1962), “Doctor Zhivago” (1965), and “A Passage to India.” He also wrote the music to “Ghost,” “Sunshine,” “Dead Poets Society,” and “Witness.”

The concert will be held without an audience due to the COVID-19 crisis and regulations put in place by the Italian governement.
