
Teatro dell’Opera di Roma to Broadcast Ermonela Jaho’s Final ‘La Traviata’ from Piazza di Spagna
By Francisco SalazarOn June 30, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is set to broadcast Verdi’s “La Traviata” in Piazza di Spagna.
The opera will be shown in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of Sofia Coppola’s production which was designed by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti.
Francesco Ivan Ciampa will conduct the performance which will star Ermonela Jaho in the title role alongside Dmitry Korchak and Amartuvshin Enkhbat.
The cast will be rounded out by Maria Elena Pepi, Sofia Barbashova, Alejo Álvarez Castillo, and Guangwei Yao.
The performance will also mark Jaho’s final performance of Violetta, a role that she has performed over 300 times around the world at the Metropolitan Opera, Arena di Verona, and Royal Opera House.
