Linea Opera, which was started last year by the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma with the help of the Assessorato alla Cultura, Assessorato alla Mobilità di Roma Capitale, ATAC, and in collaboration with “La Città Ideale,” will be extended throughout the capital.

The program will take place on August 1 with buses departing from 15 municipals in Rome, all headed toward the Terme di Caracalla where audience members will be able to see the anteprima of “Rigoletto” for five euros.

The opera will be seen in a production by Damiano Michieletto and will star Roberto Frontali in the title role of Rigoletto, Zuzana Marková as Gilda, and Piero Pretti as the Duca di Mantova. The cast will be rounded out by Martina Belli and Riccardo Zanellato and will be conducted by Riccardo Frizza.

Linea Opera was created to make opera more accessible to audiences and started in June 2022 when five municipals were invited to see “Ernani” at the Teatro Costanzi.
