In celebration of World Theatre Day, the Teatro de la Zarzuela is making 12 full recordings of recent performances available on its Youtube channel.

Among the zarzuelas that will be available include “Katiuska” by Pablo Sorozábal with Ainhoa Arteta, Carlos Álvarez, and Jorge de León; “La casa de Bernarda Alba” by  Miquel Ortega; “Cecilia Valdés” by Gonzalo Roig starring Elizabeth Caballero; “Doña Francisquita;” and “El barberillo de Lavapiés” by Barbieri.

There is also a gala in honor of Montserrat Caballé which includes such stars as Marina Monzo, Ainhoa Arteta, Virginia Tola, Ismael Jordi, Mariela Cantarero, and Airam Hernández.

The channel will also include behind the scenes footage and trailers from old performances.
