Teatro de la Zarzuela Breaks Ticket Sale Records

The Teatro de la Zarzuela has broken records in sales and subscriptions for its 2024-25 season.

According to Platea Magazine, the company has sold 4,012 subscriptions and over 40,000 tickets with several performances already sold out.

According to a press release many of the performances featuring lead casts are almost sold out.

Next season, the Teatro de la Zarzuela will present productions of “Marina,” “La del manojo de rosas,” “La corte de faraón,” “El bateo / La revoltosa,” and “La tabernera del puerto.” There will also be recitals from such international stars as Patricia Petibon, Susan Manoff, Julia Kleiter, Konstantin Krimmel, Franz-Josef Selig, Ludovic Tézier, and Julian Prégardien.

The season opens in October with a production of “Marina” which will star Sabina Puértolas and Marina Monzó in the lead role alongside Ismael Jordi, Celso Albelo, Juan Jesús Rodríguez, Pietro Spagnoli, Rubén Amoretti, and Javier Castañeda.
