Teatro Cervantes Announces Cast Change for ‘Dialogues des carmélites’

The Teatro Cervantes in Malaga has announced a cast change for its production of Poulenc’s “Dialogues des Carmélites.”

The company said that Maite Alberola will replace Ainhoa Arteta in the role of Blanche de la Force. According to a press release, Arteta was forced to “cancel due to health issues that could aggravate and provoke a vocal injury.”

The production is set to be directed by Francisco López and conducted by Pedro Halffter. Alberola joins a cast that includes Ana Ibarra, Luiza Fatyol, Egle Wyss, Nuria García-Arrés, David Alegret, Gerardo Bullón, Luis Pacetti, and Beatriz Lanza.

“Dialogues des Carmélites” is set to be performed on Feb. 16 and 18, 2024.
