Teatro alla Scala Announces L’Italiana in Algeri’ with Maxim Mironov & Cecilia Molinari

The Teatro alla Scala is set to perform a revival of Rossini’s “L’Italiana in Algeri.”

The performance will be streamed on the Teatro alla Scala’s website, YouTube page, and Facebook page on May 25.

The production by Jean-Pierre Ponnelle will be staged by Grischa Asagaroff and will star Carlo Lepore, Enkeleda Kamani, Francesca Di Sauro, Alessandro Luongo, Maxim Mironov, Cecilia Molinari, and Marco Filippo Romano.

Ottavio Dantone conducts the production.

The production is the latest stream by the Teatro alla Scala following “Così fan tutte,”Salome,” and the company’s opening night gala. This month the Teatro alla Scala will perform a concert with Lise Davidsen and Riccardo Chailly, a concert with Ildebrando d’Arcangelo, and another one with Riccardo Muti and the Wiener Philharmoniker.
