
Tatev Baroyan Joins IMG Artists for Management
By Francisco SalazarSoprano Tatev Baroyan has joined the roster of IMG Artists for general management.
Baroyan will be represented by Artist Manager Andrew Owens.
Born in Armenia, Baroyan studied at the Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School and continued her vocal studies at the Komitas State Conservatory.
After moving to the United States, Baroyan joined Sarasota Opera’s Apprenticeship programme, followed by Will Crutchfield’s Teatro Nuovo’s Studio Artist programme in New York.
She has since performed at the New York City Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Salzburger Landestheater, and Romanian National Opera House. This summer, Borayan joins the Bregenzer Festspiele for Janácek’s “The Excursions of Mr. Brouëek,” where she sings the role of Málinka, Etherea, Kunka.
In a statement Borayan said, “First, I’d like to congratulate Andrew Owens. I know that the field is gaining an incredible advocate, a manager who has dedicated his life to the classical world, and a musician who understands the full vocal spectrum. I am very excited for my collaboration with Andrew. I admire his work ethic, his thoughtfulness, and his networking abilities. I’m greatly looking forward to this new chapter in my career with IMG Artists.”
