The Bayerische Staatsoper will celebrate the holiday season with a livestream of Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel.”

The opera will be streamed on Dec. 24 and will include members of the State Opera ensemble Emily Pogorelc as Gretel and Kevin Conners as the Witch. The production will also star Tara Erraught as Hansel it will be conducted by Friedrich Haider.

The Bayerische Staatsoper will make the stream available for free through Dec. 26. On Dec. 27 the opera will be available on-demand for 9.90 euros.

The opera is part of the Bayerische Staatsoper holiday series, which includes Saint-Saens’ Oratorio and “Swan Lake,”

The Bayerische Staatsoper is also offering recent performances on demand including “La Boheme” with Jonas Kaufmann and “Falstaff” with Ailyn Perez.
