
Karen Slack Joins Opus 3 Artists for Management
By Francisco SalazarKaren Slack has joined the roster of Opus 3 Artists for General Management.
The soprano is curator and artistic advisor known for her fiery charisma and groundbreaking approach to engagement. Her debut album, “Beyond the Years: Unpublished Songs of Florence Price” on Azica Records, won a GRAMMY Award for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album.
Most recently Slack has toured her critically acclaimed “African Queens” recital across North America in such festivals and venues as Ravinia Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Tanglewood Music Festival, 92NY, Portland Opera, Piedmont Opera, and the Naples Philharmonic.
Throughout her career she has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Washington National Opera, Scottish Opera, Bergen Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic.
Slack is a recipient of the 2022 Sphinx Medal of Excellence and the 2025 MPower Artist Grant and serves on the board of the American Composers Orchestra.
