Tapestry Opera has announced its 2025-26 season.

The season opens with “Tapestry Briefs: Under Where?” The showcase will feature 10 opera shorts by such composers as Rebecca Gray, Saman Shahi, Rodyon Tse, Keith Klassen, and Prokhor Protasoff.

Performance Dates: Oct. 16-19, 2025

Next up is “LOL: Laughing Out Lonely,” a solo opera by Danish company OPE-N. The work by Matile Böcher and Asger Kudahl reflects on the digital age, featuring real social media posts. Headlining the piece is countertenor Morten Grove Frandsen.

Performance Dates: Jan. 16 & 17, 2026

Next up is Ana Sokolovic’s “Love Songs,” featuring soprano Xin Wang. The piece is in five languages and features declarations of love in over 100 tongues. “Love Songs” is featured in a co-presentation with New Music Consorts.

Performance Dates: March 26-29, 2026

Then the company ramps up the mystery by presenting an award-winning opera. However, they will keep it under wraps until a later date.
