Alek Shrader, Mariola Cantarero & Sabina Puértolas Headline Opera de Oviedo’s 2018-19 Season

The Opera de Oviedo has announced its 2018-19 season. The season will include five productions including some operatic classics and one Spanish opera. The season opens with Jorge Muñiz’s “Fuenteovejuna” with Mariola Cantarero and Raquel Lojendio sharing the role of Laurencia. Sabine Puértolas Replaces Lucy Crowe At Royal Opera House

Lucy Crowe has withdrawn from tonight’s performance of “Rigoletto.” The Royal Opera House announced that due to illness Crowe would not sing the Jan. 4 performance. As a result, Spanish soprano Sabina Puértolas will take over.
