
Sunyoung Seo, Patricia Petibon, Natalie Dessay & Jakub Józef Orliński Star in Opéra de Dijon’s 2020-21 Season

Opera
Zemlinsky’s “Görge le rêveur” is set to be conducted by Marta Gardolińska in a production by Laurent Delvert. Peter Wedd, Helena Juntunen, Susanna Hurrell, Andrew Greenan, Piotr Lempa, Allen Boxer, Alexander Sprague, Wieland Satter, Piotr Lempa, Aurelie Jarjaye, Kaëlig Boché, and Aline Martin star.
Performance Dates: Oct. 16-20, 2020
Rossi’s “Le Palais enchanté” stars Victor Sicard, Arianna Vendittelli, Fabio Trümpy, Deanna Breiwick, Mark Milhofer, Lucía Martín-Cartón, Mariana Flores, Grigory Soloviov, Kacper Szelążek, André Lacerda, Valerio Contaldo, Gwendoline Blondeel, and Alexander Miminoshvili. Leonardo García Alarcón conducts Fabrice Murgia’s production.
Performance Dates: Dec. 11-17, 2020
Sunyoung Seo sings the title role in Puccini’s “Tosca“ alongside Mykhailo Malafii and Dario Solari. Roberto Rizzi Brignoli conducts the production by David Bobée.
Performance Dates: Feb. 24-March 6, 2021
Poulenc’s “La voix humaine” and Escaich’s “Point d’orgue” will be performed in a double bill with Patricia Petibon starring in the Poulenc work and Jean-Sébastien Bou and Cyrille Dubois in Escaich’s opera. Jérémie Rohrer conducts Olivier Py’s production.
Performance Dates: March 26-30, 2021
Janáček’s “Věc Makropulos” will star Sabine Hogrefe, Torsten Kerl, Michael Gniffke, Katerina Hebelkova, Martin Bárta, Alexander Geller, Karel Martin Ludvik, Timothée Varon, Lila Hajosi, and Johanna Brault. Stefan Veselka conducts Philipp Himmelmann’s production.

Concerts
Leonardo García Alarcón conducts Gwendoline Blondeel, Christopher Lowrey, Fabio Trümpy, and Andreas Wolf perform Bach and Colonna’s “Magnificat.”

Natalie Dessay and Philippe Cassard perform a recital entitled Paroles de femmes.

Andrei Petrenko conducts Rachmaninoff’s “Les Vêpres.”

Karine Deshayes performs a New Years concert with conductor Pierre Bleuse. The program will include music by Bizet, De Falla, Chabrier, Verdi, Rossini, Mascagni, and Massenet.

Marlène Assayag, Sophie Karthäuser, Elena Galitskaya, Julian Prégardien, Rafael Fingerlos, and Mark Omvlee star in concert performances of Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte.” Andreas Staier conducts.

Thomas Bauer and Jos van Immerseel perform Schubert’s Winterreise.
