The Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden has announced that due to new regulations that came into effect in the city of Wiesbaden, it has been forced to cancel all the performances in the Great House until at least Nov. 1, 2020.

Per the new order, all events with more than 100 people are prohibited. The special permission to play for 298 spectators in the Great House that was granted to the opera house weeks before has now been withdrawn by the health authorities. “Given the current infection situation, special permits cannot be granted at the moment, “said Dr. Kaschlin Butt, head of the health department.

In other venues at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, including the Small House and the Wartburg, performances will go as planned.
