The Staatstheater Kassel has announced its 2021-22 season. Here is a look.
Berg’s “Wozzeck” opens the season. Francesco Angelico conducts the production by Florian Lutz, while Mechthild Feuerstein is responsible for costumes.
Premiere Date: Sep. 24, 2021
Next up is Puccini’s masterwork “Tosca.” The opera will be directed by Sláva Daubnerová and conducted by Francesco Angelico.

Peter Schedding conducts Henriette Hörnigk’s production of John Kander’s “Cabaret.” Henrike Engel is responsible for costumes.

Bach’s “Weihnachtsoratorium” gets a new look in a production by Jochen Biganzoli. Kiril Stankow conducts.
Premiere Date: Dec. 5, 2021
Carl Maria von Weber’s “Der Freischütz” will be directed by Ersan Mondtag and conducted by Mario Hartmuth. Teresa Vergho is responsible for costumes.

Kiril Stankow conducts Paul-Georg Dittrich’s production of Daniel Auber’s grand opera “La muette de Portici.” Anna Rudolph is responsible for costumes.
