Opera North has announced its 2024-25 season.

The season opens with Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” with Claire Lees, Soraya Mafi, Egor Zhuravskii, Trystan Llŷr Griffiths, Anna Dennis, Msimelelo Mbali, Justin Hopkins, Emyr Wyn Jones, Pasquale Orchard, Colin Judson, and Andri Björn Róbertsson. Christoph Koncz, Patrick Lange, and Emilia Hoving share the podium and James Brining directs.

Performance Dates: Sept. 27, 2024-March 29, 2025

James Laing, Daisy Brown, Henry Waddington, Camilla Harris, Joel Williams, James Newby, Andri Björn Róbertsson, and Molly Barker star in Britten’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Garry Walker conducts Martin Duncan’s production.

Performance Dates: Oct. 12-Nov. 20 2024

Dominic Sedgwick, Xavier Hetherington, John Savournin, Henry Waddington, Steven Page, Amy Freston, Helen Évora, and Claire Pascoe star in Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Ruddigore.” Anthony Kraus conducts.

Kurt Weill’s “Love Life” will star Quirijn de Lang and Stephanie Corley. James Holmes conducts the production by Matthew Eberhardt.

Robert Hayward stars in Wagner’s “The Flying Dutchman” alongside Sinéad Campbell Wallace, Clive Bayley, and Molly Barker. Garry Walker conducts the production by Annabel Arden.

Mozart’s “The Magic Flute Lite” will be conducted by David Cowan which is adapted by Oliver Rundell and Deborah Cohen.

Roland Wood sings the title role of Verdi’s “Simon Boccanegra” alongside Brindley Sherratt, Andrés Presno, and Mandla Mndebele. Antony Hermus conducts the production by PJ Harris.
