Updated: A previous version of this article included Elena Stikhina. However, per Elena Stikhina’s management, the soprano will NOT perform at the Zarayde Hall later this month. She will be singing Lisa in the new production of “Pique Dame” in Baden Baden followed by concert performances with the Berliner Philhamoniker.”

On April 23, Albina Shagimuratova will perform at the Russian state-funded Zaryadye Hall in Moscow.

Shagimuratova will perform alongside Elizaveta Dmitrieva.

The soprano is slated to perform at the Metropolitan Opera during the 2022-23 season in productions of “Idomeneo.” The Metropolitan previously stated that it would cut ties with “artists or institutions that support Putin or are supported by him.”

The Zaryadye Hall is funded by the Culture Department of Moscow and run by CEO Olga Zhukova, who in 2020 was included in the updated composition of the President’s personnel reserve. That composition included 138 people, with most of them being representatives of local government authorities. All the candidates were carefully chosen and examined according to their personal and professional qualities, as well as their managerial skills.”
