Soprano / Pianist Chelsea Guo Set for NYC & D.C. Debuts This February

Soprano and pianist Chelsea Guo is set to make her New York City and Washington D.C. debuts this February.

The First Prize Winner of the 2022 YCA Susan Wadsworth International Auditions will appear at the Kaufman Music Center’s Merkin Hall on Feb. 6, 2025 before heading to The Kennedy Center on Feb. 19, 2025. In the program, she will explore the friendship between Chopin and pianist and mezzo-soprano Pauline Viardot while also presenting a program of works by Weill, Sondheim, Fauré, Ravel, and Ives.

Guo was named  “Classic FM’s Rising Stars: 30 Brilliant Musicians We’re Celebrating in 2022” and released her debut album in 2021 for Orchid Classics. She has appeared as both pianist and soprano with Moritzburg Festival, LUMOS, New Jersey Symphony, Sociedad Filarmónica La Coruña, New Haven Symphony, Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra, and Oregon Mozart Players, among others.

Both concerts kick off at 7:30 p.m. local time.
