Madison Avenue Baptist Church will host a public masterclass with soprano Olga Makarina on Feb. 8, 2026, presented as part of the MABC Emerging Artists Program.

The event is set to place at 2 p.m. with participating singers including mezzo-sopranos Narentsetseg Ren and Yi-Chun Sarah Tsai, sopranos Nina Mutalifu and Kristina Bombara, bass Jiayi George Baolin. Pianist Aza Sydykov will join the artists.

Makarina is an internationally renowned artist who performed for 18 seasons at The Metropolitan Opera and appeared regularly with New York City Opera, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. Her international career includes appearances at Teatro Colón, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Mariinsky Theatre, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and Teatro de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, as well as festivals such as Spoleto, Bard, and Český Krumlov.
