Sonya Yoncheva & Piotr Beczala Among Opus Klassik Winners

The Opus Klassik has announced the winners of the 2021 awards.

Among the winners were Sonya Yoncheva and Piotr Beczala who won the Singer of the Year awards for their albums “Rebirth” and “Vincerò!”

Meanwhile, Conductor of the Year went to Marc Albrecht for Zemlinsky’s “Die Seejungfrau” while Fatma Said won the New Artist of the Year.

Regula Mühlemann won Solo Vocal album of the year Opera for Mozart Arias II while Sabine Devieilhe won Solo Vocal Album of the Year Lied for Chanson d’amour.

Jonas Kaufmann and Antonio Pappano’s recording of “Otello” won Opera Recording of the Year while Frühlingsstürme won Opera DVD Recording of the Year.
