On June 28, 2026, the Central Square at the foot of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw will present Puccini’s “Tosca.”

The opera will star Sonya Yoncheva in the title role alongside Jonathan Tetelman as Cavaradossi and George Gagnidze as Scarpia.

The artists will be accompanied by the excellent orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia and conducted by Bassem Akiki.

Yoncheva is known for her interpretation of Tosca as she has performed the role at the Arena di Verona, Metropolitan Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, Zurich Opera House, while Tetelman, who is known for his Puccini interpretations, has performed the role of Cavaradossi at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Wiener Staatsoper, and Theater an Der Wien. Meanwhile, Gagnidze has performed of role of Scarpia at the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro Real, Teatro alla Scala, and Gran Teatre del Liceu.
