Spain’s Festival Castell de Peralada has announced its 2024 season. Here are the vocal performances.

Piotr Beczala opens the season with Sarah Tysman in a program of songs by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and opera arias.

Soprano Sonya Yoncheva and Ismael Jordi team up with Rubén Fernandez Aguirre for a program dedicated to zarzuela.

Performance Date: July 26, 2024

Soprano Anna Pirozzi performs music by Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, Bellini, Leoncavallo, Cliea, and Giordano. She is joined by violinists Leonard Simaku, and Mirela Lico, Cellist Livia Rotondi, Violist Luca Pozza, and pianist Sophia Munoz.

Julian Pregardien performs Schubert songs alongside actor Francesc Torrent, guitarist Isolde Santana, and pianist Anna Gebhardt.

Performance Date: July 31, 2024

Sara Blanch and Paolo Bordogna team up for an evening of Rossini works. Giulio Zappa performs on the piano.

Performance Date: August 5, 2024

The Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana performs a Renaissance concert.

Performance Date: August 7, 2024

The season will conclude with the world premiere of “Don Juan No Existe” by Helena Canovas and Alberto Iglesias. Natalia Labourdette,  Pablo Garcia-Lopez, and David Oller star. Jhoanna Sierralta conducts and Bárbara Lluch directs.
