Sondra Radvanovsky, Piotr Beczala, Robert Alagna, Aleksandra Kurzak Headline Wiener Staatsoper’s Streaming Slate
By Francisco SalazarThe Wiener Staatsoper has announced the streaming program for the week featuring Wagner, Beethoven, Puccini, Mascagni, and Leoncavallo.
Klaus Florian Vogt, Anja Kampe, Evgeny Nikitin, Stephen Milling, and Valentina Naforniţă star in Beethoven’s “Fidelio“ from a 2016 performance. Peter Schneider conducts Otto Schenk’s production.
Streaming Date: April 7, 2021
Wagner’s “Lohengrin“ will be streamed from a 2018 production. Simone Young conducts the production starring Andreas Schager, Elza van den Heever, Petra Lang, Evgeny Nikitin, and Kwangchul Youn. The performance will be streamed twice this week.

Eva-Maria Westbroek, Brian Jagde, Ambrogio Maestri, Zoryana Kushpler, Isabel Signoret, Roberto Alagna, Aleksandra Kurzak, Ambrogio Maestri, Andrea Giovannini, and Sergey Kaydalov star in a 2020 performance of “Cavalleria Rusticana“ and “Pagliacci.” Marco Armiliato conducts the production by Jean-Pierre Ponnelle.

Edvard Grieg’s “Peer Gynt” will be streamed with Simon Hewett conducting the ballet. Soloists include Jakob Feyferlik, Alice Firenze, Eno Peci, and Zsolt Török.
