Singapore’s Orchestra of the Music Makers to Present National Premiere of ‘Das Rheingold’
By David SalazarSingapore’s Orchestra of the Music Makers is set to present Wagner’s “Das Rheingold” on July 8, 2023 at the Esplanade Concert Hall.
The semi-staged production will be directed by Tang Xinxin with Joshua Kangming Tan conducting the performance.
The famed Wagner opera will star Teng Xiang Ting as Woglinde, Victoria Songwei Li as Wellgun, Anna Harvey as Floßhilde and Erda, Joachim Goltz as Alberich, Caitlin Hulcup as Fricka, Greer Grimsley as Wotan, Anita Watson as Freia, Yorck Felix Speer as Fasolt, Lukasz Konieczny as Fafner, Florian Thomas as Froh, Michael Lam as Donner, Tuomas Katajala as Loge, and Adrian Dwyer as Mime.
This presents the first-time ever that Singapore audiences will experience Wagner’s famed opera, the first of “Der Ring des Nibelungen.”
