Sidney Outlaw, Angela Yam, Craig Colclough, Marietta Simpson Headline Opera Saratoga’s 2022 Festival

Opera Saratoga has announced the full details of its 2022 season.

The season kicks off with Rossini’s “Petite Messe Solennelle” starring Angela Yam, Sable Strout, Morgan Mastrangelo, and Turner Staton. Laurie Rogers conducts.

Performance Dates: June 2 & 3, 2022 

The company will celebrate 100 years of Broadway with a special cabaret showcase under the baton of Laura Bergquist.

Performance Dates: June 12, 2022 

“A Juneteenth Celebration” will be headlined by Sidney Outlaw.

Performance Dates: June 19, 2022

Carolee Carmello, Craig Colclough, Louis Tiemann, Angela Yam, Daniel Mobbs, and Morgan Mastrangelo will headline “Sweeney Todd.” Laura Bergquist conducts the production by Kyle Lang.

Performance Dates: June 29 & 30, 2022

Marietta Simpson, Phyllis Pancella, Helena Colindres, Ryan Johnson, Chase Sanders, Raphaela Medina, Arieh Sacke, and Spencer Reichman will headline Beecher and Moscovitch’s “Sky on Swings.” Emily Senturia conducts the production by Lawrence Edelson.

Performance Dates: July 7 & 9, 2022

The festival comes to a close with “The Barber of Seville” starring Siphokazi Molteno, Brian Yeakley, Sidney Outlaw, Daniel Mobbs, Jeremy Harr, and Whitney Robinson. Dean Williamson conducts with Eve Summer directing.

Performance Dates: July 8 & 10, 2022
