The Bach Society of Saint Louis will present its annual Christmas Candlelight Concert on Dec. 9, 2022.

The event will feature performances of traditional carols, including “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “O Holy Night,” and “Joy to the World.” Also on the program is music by Mozart. Soprano Sherezade Panthaki will solo in the performance.

The soprano has appeared with a wide range of organizations worldwide, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Bach Collegium Japan, and the National Symphony Orchestra.

“The familiar carols in stunning new arrangements, the memorable candlelight procession, the resounding audience sing-along, the beautifully decorated Powell Hall, and, to top it off, a world-class soloist,” said Conductor and Music Director Dr. A. Dennis Sparger in an original press statement issued by the company.
