The trailer for “The Yellow Tie,” a Biopic about conductor Sergiu Celibidache, has been released.

The film, which stars John Malkovich and is directed by the conductor’s son, Serge Ioan Celebidachi, tells the story of the extraordinary life of Sergiu Celibidache. From his childhood in Romania, to his exile in pursuit of a career in music, his struggle for survival in wartime Germany, and his rise, fall and rise again, in an unimaginable life journey.

The film was first announced in 2022 and was shot in Romania in the spring/summer of 2022. The film also stars Sean Bean, Anton Lesser, Miranda Richardson, Kate Phillips, Tamzin Merchant, Ben Schnetzer, Charlie Rowe, and Julian Firth.

“The Yellow Tie” is an international co-production between Romania’s Oblique Media Film and Celi Films in the U.K and is produced by Adela Vrinceanu Celebidachi, Cristina Dobritoiu, Titi Radoaie,  and James Olivier.
