Semperoper Dresden to Present ‘Attila’ for First Time Ever

Semperoper Dresden is set to present a concert performance of Verdi’s “Attila” for the first time in the company’s history.

The famed Verdi opera will feature Georg Zeppenfeld, Andrzej Dobber, Anna Smirnova, Tomislav Mužek, Timothy Oliver, and Tilmann Rönnebeck, under the baton of Jordi Bernàcer.

Zeppenfeld will be making his role debut as the title character while Mužek will take on his first Foresto. Rönnebeck will also make his role debut as the Roman Leone.

The showcase opens on Feb. 4, 2023 and runs for two additional performances on Feb. 7 and 11, 2023.

Prior to the “Attila” showcase, the Semperoper Dresden will feature a production of Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen” as well as Puccini’s “La Bohème.”
