Dua Lipa is becoming a regular at the opera.

On Oct. 19, the Grammy winning pop star attended the world premiere of “Lincoln in the Bardo” at the Metropolitan Opera.

The news comes a few weeks after General Manager Peter Gelb hinted that Dua Lipa was excited about attending the opening of Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek’s opera.

It is Dua Lipa’s second outing at the opera in a month. She first attended the Teatro alla Scala’s production of “La Traviata” in September which was her first time at the iconic theater.

Back in 2024, the singer interviewed author George Saunders on her podcast Service95 about the book “Lincoln in the Bardo” and raved about it saying that she recommends every George Saunders book and that she is a huge fan of his.

Aside of from the pop star, the starry evening also saw Amy Poehler, Bowen Yang, Callum Turner and Matt Rogers.

“Lincoln in the Bardo” is based on George Saunders’s Booker Prize-winning novel and features music by American composer Missy Mazzoli and a libretto by Royce Vavrek.

Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts a cast that includes baritone Peter Mattei, soprano Christine Goerke, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe, and countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo.
