Sebastian Lang-Lessing Launches VirtuMasterClass
By Francisco SalazarGerman conductor Sebastian Lang-Lessing has launched VirtuMasterClass, a new website offering online masterclasses with leading artists of the classical music world.
The roster will include opera singers, pianists, violinists, violists, clarinetists, cellists, and a bandoneonist.
The project was born during the global lockdown due to the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic and aspires to connect the world’s most exciting and inspiring soloists with students across the globe, providing access to individual online lessons to the next generation of musicians with artists who call the world’s famous stages their home.
Among the artists on the roster are Michaela Kaune, Cristina Pasaroiu, Michelle DeYoung, Dolora Zajick, Charles Castronovo, Martin Muehle, Saimir Pirgu, Irene Kudela, Davide Damiani, and Greer Grimsley, among others.
“We want to make sure the inspirational flow between international performing artists and students around the globe stays alive. Our goal is to build bridges where borders are closed and facilitate access to our resources. We know that online teaching will evolve and develop. Sharing our passion and experience with an audience on stage or in the intimate setting of a lesson with a student are two inseparable elements of our vocation,” Lang-Lessing said in a press statement.
VirtuMasterClass can be accessed on all possible devices including a desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone.
