Schubertiade Schwarzenberg Announces Recital Change

By Francisco Salazar

The Schubertiade Schwarzenberg has announced a recital change.

The organization announced that Christiane Karg is expecting her second child and therefore has had to cancel her appearance.

As a result, Katharina Konradi will perform a recital with Wolfram Rieger on the piano. The program will include Franz Schubert, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Strauss, and Gabriel Fauré.

Konradi is no stranger to the Schubertiade as she made her debut in the Markus-Sittikus-Saal in Hohenems in July 2020 and recorded a recently released album of songs by Schubert, Mozart, and Strauss.

The soprano has also performed at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Hamburg State Opera, and the Bayreuth Festival. She is well known for her roles in Mozart, Strauss, and Weber.

Konradi’s recital is set to take place on August 21, 2021.
