
Sarah Moulton Faux Headlines AOP, GHOSTLIGHT & String Orchestra of Brooklyn’s Arvo Pärt Celebration at Long Play 2025
By David SalazarAmerican Opera Projects will present a concert as part of Bang on a Can’s Long Play 2025 in celebration of composer Arvo Pärt’s 90th birthday at the South Oxford Space Great Room.
The showcase, set for May 3, 2025, will feature Pärt’s “The Abbot Agathon,” in partnership with the String Orchestra of Brooklyn and GHOSTLIGHT. Soprano Sarah Moulton Faux will be the soloist. Also on the program is the composer’s “O-Antiphonen.”
Faux has performed on the world premiere of “The Climate Opera Project” and will be releasing a new album “YULIYA.” She is also the winner of the 2022 America Prize.
American Opera Projects and the String Orchestra of Brooklyn previously presented this program back in February.
Long Play is a three-day music festival that takes place between May 2 and 4, 2025. It features 50+ concerts across Brooklyn at such venues as BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), BRIC, the Church of St. Luke and S.t Matthew, Fort Greene Park, ISSUE Project Room, Pioneer Works, Public Records, Roulette, South Oxford Space, and The Space at Irondale.
