Sara Blanch, Carmela Remigio, Corinne Winters, Roberto Frontali Lead Caracalla Festival’s 2025 Season

The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has announced its 2025 summer festival at the Caracalla.

The festival, known as the Caracalla Festival, will take place between June 29 and August 7 under Damiano Michieletto’s artistic direction.

The festival will showcase four productions.

The season’s first production will be Händel’s “La Resurrezione.” George Petrou conducts the production by Ilaria Lanzino which will star Sara Blanch, Ana Maria Labin, Teresa Iervolino, Charles Workman, and Giorgio Caoduro.

Performance Dates: July 1-5, 2025

Damiano Michieletto directs a new production of Bernstein’s “West Side Story.” Michele Mariotti conducts the work with a cast that includes Sofia Caselli and Marek Zurowski in the lead roles.

Performance Dates: July 5-17, 2025

Verdi’s “La Traviata” will be directed by Sláva Daubnerová and conducted by Francesco Lanzillotta.

Corinne Winters stars in the lead role alongside Piotr Buszewskiand Luca Micheletti.

Performance Dates: July 19-August 3, 2025

Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” will be directed by Vasily Barkhatov in his Rome debut. Roberto Frontali stars in the title role alongside Vito Priante, Nadja Mchantaf, Carmela Remigio, and Anthony León. Alessandro Cadario conducts.

Performance Dates: July 20-25, 2025

Osvaldo Golijov closes the festival with his “La Pasión según San Marcos.” Diego Matheuz conducts.

Performance Date: August 7, 2025
