By Francisco Salazar

San Francisco Performances has announced a number of changes to its February schedule due to COVID-19.

For the purposes of this article, we will only focus on the vocal performances.

The recital series announced that Angelika Kirchschlager and Julius Drake recital on Feb. 20, 2021 has been canceled. Meanwhile, Lawrence Brownlee’s originally planned October 2020 recital has been postponed for later in 2021.

Other concerts that were canceled included Midori, David Greilsammer, and David Russell. Meanwhile, the San Francisco Performances announced that the Alexander String Quartet and Robert Greenberg’s concerts were postponed to new dates.

The new changes are due to the COVID-19 safety guidelines and the continued restrictions on public gatherings. The status of performances after February will be considered on a month-by-month basis and will be announced as they become known.
