San Francisco Opera to Close ‘Bohème Out of the Box’ Tour in Dublin

From Mar. 31 to Apr. 2, San Francisco Opera will close its tour of “Bohème Out of the Box” when it comes to Dublin, CA.

This production sees “La Bohème” unfold on a converted shipping container, with a runtime of 75 minutes. Director Jose Maria Condemi leads a cast of SFO Adler Fellows and guest artists with keyboard accompaniment.

There will be Pre-Opera Talks in front of the stage 45 minutes before each performance, led by SFO Dramaturg Emeritus Dr. Clifford “Kip” Cranna.

Families and children are encouraged to attend the First Act Workshops 45 minutes before the Sunday matinee, where they can take a trip to Café Momus and dance to ‘Musetta’s Waltz.’

Held at the Emerald Glen Park Amphitheater, “Bohème Out of the Box” is free to attend, with registration encouraged but not required. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, with audiences encouraged to bring lawn and camping chairs.
