Samuel Mariño, Hélène Brunet, Cecilia Duarte, & Jacob Perry Featured in Tafelmusik’s 2024-25 Season

Tafelmusik has announced the details of its 2024-25 season.

Soprano Hélène Brunet, mezzo-soprano Cecilia Duarte, and baritone Jesse Blumberg make their Tafelmusik debuts in Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio.” Tenor Charles Daniels joins them. Ivars Taurins directs the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir and Orchestra.

Performance Dates: November 22, 23, & 24, 2024

Handle’s “Messiah” stars soprano Myriam Leblanc, mezzo-soprano Krisztina Szabó, tenor Jacob Perry, and bass-baritone Philippe Sly. Ivars Taurins directs the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir.

Performance Dates: December 20 & 21, 2024

“Sing-Along Messiah” features the same cast, plus the audience.

Performance Date: December 22, 2024

Soprano Myriam Leblanc joins the Tafelmusik Chamber Choir under the baton of Ivars Taurins in Bach’s “Cantata” 150 and Zelenka’s “Mass.”

Performance Dates: March 21, 22, & 23, 2025

The season wraps up with “Samuel Mariño at the Opera: Bologne & Mozart.” The soprano offers selections from his new album, “Sopranista,” including two arias from “L’Amant anonyme” by Joseph Bologne and arias by Mozart, Gluck, Haydn, and Salieri.  Julia Wedman leads the Tafelmusik Orchestra.
