Royal Scottish National Orchestra Announces 2024-25 Season

The Royal Scottish National Orchestra has announced its 2024-25 season. Here are the vocal performances.

Thomas Søndergård conducts Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with Julie Roset and Linda Watson.

Performance Dates: Oct. 4 & 5, 2024

Derrick Morgan conducts “The Haunted Concert” with Owen Gunnell and the RSNO Children’s Chorus.

Performance Dates: Oct. 26 & 27, 2024

Dunedin Consort, Hebrides Ensemble, and Matthew Brook perform Sir James MacMillan’s “Since it was the Day of Preparation.”

Performance Date: Oct. 27, 2024

Marzena Diakun conducts Orff’s Carmina Burana with Fflur Wyn, Adrian Dwyer, and Ben McAteer. The program also includes Pei-Jee Ng performing Elena Langer’s “The Dong with a Luminous Nose.”

Performance Dates: Nov 15 & 16, 2024

Nicholas McGegan conducts Händel’s “Messiah” with Ruby Hughes, Diana Moore, Nicholas Mulroy, and Stephan Loges.

Performance Dates: Jan 2, 2025

David Niemann conducts Sunyoung Seo in a program of works by Tchaikovsky and Wagner.

Performance Dates: Feb. 14 & 15, 2025

Stephen Doughty conducts the RSNO Chorus in music by Billings, Ives, McIntyre, Belmont, and Bernstein.

Performance Date: March 14, 2025

Ellie Slorach conducts Jonathan Dove’s “Uprising” with Ffion Edwards, Julieth Lozano Rolong, Madeleine Shaw, Ross Ramgobin, Dingle Yandell, and Nkululeko Innocent Masuku.

Performance Date: March 28, 2025

John Butt conducts the Dunedin Consort in Bach’s St. Matthew’s Passion.

Performance Dates: April 12, 2025

Patrick Hahn conducts Händel’s “Messiah,” Beethoven’s “Elegischer Gesang,” and Berg’s Violin Concerto. Soloists include Carolin Widmann, Mhairi Lawson, Hannah Hipp, Jamie MacDougall, and Daniel Okulitch.

Performance Dates: April 25 & 26, 2025

Thomas Søndergård conducts Wagner, Händel, and Neil Tòmas Smith with soloists the Dunedin Consort and Anna Dennis.

Performance Dates: May 16 & 17, 2025
