Royal Opera House Names New Trusts to Board of Directors

The Royal Opera House has appointed new trustees to its Board.

The appointees include Vanessa Kingori MBE, Janis Susskind OBE, Lisa Burger CBE, Michael Ward, and Sir Alex Younger.

“I am thrilled to see these new trustees join the Board, all of whom bring a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective as we meet the many challenges and opportunities ahead. I very much look forward to working with them all as we drive forward a robust agenda to ensure that future generations enjoy the very best of ballet and opera from the Royal Opera House for many years to come,” said Sir Lloyd Dorfman, Chair of the Royal Opera House, in an official press statement.

Kingori is the Chief Business Officer of Conde Nast Brittain and has overseen revenue transformation at British Vogue. Meanwhile. Susskind is the Managing Director of such publishing companies as Boosey & Hawkes. She is also on the Board of such organizations as the London Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, and Britten Pears Arts.

Burger is the former Executive Director and and Joint Chief Executive of the National Theatre, and former Chair of the Lyric Hammersmith, while Ward has experience as Managing Director of Harrods and Chair of the Walpole Group. Finally, Younger is former Chief of the Secret Intelligence Services.
