Royal Opera House Cinema 2018-19: How to Watch ‘Die Walküre’

This Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, audiences will get to experience the second installment in Wagner’s “Der Ring des Nibelungen” in cinemas.

“Die Walküre,” often seen as the most popular of the four operas included in the famed tetralogy, will head to the silver screen with a cast that includes Stuart Skelton as Siegmund and Emily Magee as his twin sister and lover Sieglinde. As Wotan, audiences will see John Lundgren with Nina Stemme as his daughter Brünnhulde. Sarah Connolly stars as Fricka with Ain Anger as Hunding. The Valkyries will be portrayed by Alwyn Mellor, Lise Davidsen, Kai Rüütel, Claudia Huckle, Maida Hundeling, Catherine Carby, Monika-Evelin Liiv, and Emma Carrington. Antonio Pappano conducts the performance.

This is the final performance in the run this season at the Royal Opera House.
