Royal Opera House Announces New Restaurant

By Francisco Salazar

The Royal Opera House has announced a new restaurant and terrace bar.

The company said that Angela Hartnett will open the new space in September 2025 and will be inspired by the timeless bars of Turin. The spaces will bring a signature blend of sophisticated yet simple, Italian-inspired cooking to the Covent Garden.

In a statement, Hartnett said, “Opening at the Royal Opera House – such an iconic London institution – is a real privilege. We’re creating something entirely new for the space: relaxed, with food that celebrates exceptional produce and simplicity. Most of all, we want the restaurant and bar to be for everyone, not just for those attending a performance.”

The Royal Opera’s 2025-26 season will open with Puccini’s “Tosca” starring Anna Netrebko, Freddie de Tommaso, and Gerald Finley.
