Royal Opera House Announces Another Cast Change for ‘Faust’

The Royal Opera House has announced a new cast change for its production of “Faust.”

The company announced Erwin Schrott has pulled out of performances on May 23, 25, 28, and 30, 2025, and will be replaced by Adam Palka.

Schrott had originally pulled out of performances on June 2, 6, and 10 for personal reasons and was replaced by Ildebrando D’Arcangelo.

Palka has performed at the Oper Köln, Staatsoper Hamburg, Canadian Opera Company, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Teatro alla Scala, and National Theatre of Prague.

“Faust” is now set to star Carolina López Moreno, Stefan PopBoris Pinkhasovich, and Hongni Wu. Maurizio Benini conducts the production by David McVicar. The production opens on May 23 and runs through June 10, 2025.
