Rossini Opera Festival Closes with Gala Honoring Juan Diego Flórez

On August 22, the Rossini Opera Festival will present a gala honoring Juan Diego Flórez’s 25th anniversary at the ROF.

The gala will see the attendance of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, as an honored guest. Soloists will include Flórez, Eleonora Buratto, Marina Monzo, Marta Pluda, Manuel Amati, Giorgio Caoduro, Nicolo Donini, Matteo Roma, Sergey Romanovsky, Pietro Spagnoli, and Jack Swanson.

The performance, which will close the season, will be broadcast live by Rai Radio 3 and streamed live on RaiPlay and on the Rossini Opera Festival website and Facebook and YouTube channels.

Flórez made his Rossini Opera festival in 1996 and has performed in several historic productions including “Ricciardo e Zoraide,” “Matilde di Shabran,” “Guillaume Tell,” and “Le Comte Ory.”
