Roberto Sacca, Rachel Nicholls, James Lee, Mi-Seon Oh to Headline Korean National Opera’s Production of ‘Die Tote Stadt’

Korean National Opera is set to present “Die Tote Stadt” on May 23-26, 2024 at the Seoul Arts Center.

For performances on May 23 and 25, audiences will see Roberto Sacca, Rachel Nicholls, and Antonio Yang. For the May 24 and 26 showcases, the cast will be headlined by James Lee, Mi-Seon Oh, and Insik Choi. Participating in both casts are Eunkyong Lim, Kyungjin Lee, Soon Hee Kim, Doho Kang, Jeongmin Wee, and Lim Jae Heon.

Die Tote Stadt” is Korngold’s most renowned work, premiered at the Hamburg Opera in 1920 when the composer was just 23 years old.

In addition to the Korngold work, the Korean National Opera is set to present “Tannhäuser” in October.
